What Type of Energy Sources does Bounce Energy Use?

By energy_linguist, October 9, 2009, FAQs

A valid question, considering many of us are probably unaware of how Texas electricity is generated and how it is produced. For our plans, Bounce uses electricity generated from a variety of sources, including:

  • Natural gas
  • Coal
  • Nuclear
  • Wind
  • Solar
  • Hydro
  • Biomass

Bounce Energy specifically uses energy developed from renewable resources like solar, wind, water and biomass (landfill gas and wood-burning facilities), offering 100% pollution-free options with the Blue Sky Now and Blue Sky Fixed plans.

Texas is a unique energy-producing state, generating a vast percentage of energy and consuming just as much. A few facts to chew on:

  • Leading crude oil-producing State in the U.S.
  • 4.8 million barrels of crude oil per day from 26 refineries
  • More than 1/4 of total U.S. natural gas production
  • America's wind power generation leader, with a whopping 2,000 wind turbines in West Texas
