A Billion Acts of Green

By Julianne, April 12, 2010, Green

On April 22, Earth Day will celebrate its 40th Anniversary. It’s time to think of what you can be doing to help off-set your carbon footprint and make the world a little bit greener.

To help bring people together, the Earth Day Network has launched its “Billion Acts of Green” program.  The goal of the campaign is to accumulate the many environmental commitments that individuals and organizations make each year. This shows that there are many people committed to improving climate change.

As people enter in their environmental commitment, a feed is generated where they can see others’ green promises. These commitments are counted towards Earth Day’s goal of a billion acts.

Being green doesn’t necessarily mean having a total green makeover. You can just take it one step at a time and make one little commitment on Billion Acts of Green.
