Easter Events Around Town: Part 1

With Easter quickly approaching, it may leave some families in search of something fun to do for the whole family. Or maybe you have some family coming in and aren’t exactly sure what do while they are here. Well, here are some ideas to get everyone in the Easter mood.

Houston Area

Easter in the Gardens
On Sunday, April 4, 2010, Moody Gardens is bringing Easter to life with a fabulous Easter buffet at the Garden Restaurant and Moody Gardens Hotel. In addition, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. there will be music, arts and crafts and games and prizes. Also be on the lookout for their annual Easter Egg Hunt that takes place from noon to 2:00 p.m. (for children 12 and younger).

Easter Brunch or Dinner on the Sea
Star Fleet Cruises is offering their Chef’s special buffet for you and your family while cruising on Clear Lake and Galveston Bay (from Kemah). Prices start at $59 for adults and $39 for children (ages 3-12). That price includes a two hour cruise, live entertainment, gourmet brunch, lunch or dinner buffet, champagne, beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee, tea and juices (cash bar for cocktails). This offer is good for only April 4th from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Downtown Houston Aquarium
On Saturday, April 3rd from 8:30-10:30 a.m., you can join Sharkey and the Easter Bunny for a breakfast buffet at the Downtown Houston Aquarium.  The breakfast buffet is $14.99 for adults, $7.99 for children 3-12 years and free for children 2 years and under.  50% off exhibit admission, an Easter egg hunt and photos with the Easter Bunny are included in the price of the breakfast.  *Reservations are required

If you are unable to make it on Saturday, the Houston Aquarium will also be offering an Easter Brunch on Sunday, April 4th from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Prices are $34.95 for adults, $29.95 for seniors (65+), $15.95 for kids (3-12 years) and free for kids 2 and under.  Also included in the price of the buffet are Easter egg hunts, photos with the Easter Bunny, exhibit feedings, bird show and activities (weather permitting) and 50% off exhibit admission.  *Reservations required.
