National Night Out 2010

It’s that time again for the “27th Annual National Night Out (NNO).” This is a great reason to get outside, enjoy the nice change in weather and spend some time with your neighbors. For those of you who don’t know your neighbors, this could be a good excuse to get to know them. So get ready for tonight’s National Night Out!
Note: The rest of the nation celebrated this event on Tuesday, August 3.
A brief background on the event, NNO was established as a unique crime/drug prevention event. It was designed to generate support for and participation in, local anticrime programs and to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. It’s time to unite and send a message to criminals to let them know that neighborhoods are organized and prepared to fight back.
