Groundhog Day Promotion for Pennsylvania Customers: Will Phil See His Shadow?

By Adam P. Newton, January 30, 2013, Events & Fun, News, Special Offers

Everyone loves a good promotion, especially when it involved a little bit of risk, a spot of mild gambling, or a moderate amount of educated guessing. Why else would so many people who know nothing about sports participate in Super Bowl and March Madness pools each year?

That’s why Bounce Energy is teaming up with Punxsutawney Phil to introduce our new Groundhog Day promotion. With our recent expansion into Pennsylvania, we struck up a nice arrangement with everyone’s favorite weather-guessing rodent to reward folks in his home state on his special day.

The promotion works like this: every new customer that signs up for service with Bounce from January 30th – February 1st, 2013 will have the chance to guess whether or not Phil will see his shadow when he arises from hibernation on Groundhog Day, February 2nd, 2013. Every customer that guesses Phil’s prediction correctly will win a $25 Visa Gift Card from Bounce!

You have 2 basic choices available to you: on Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney Phil could see his shadow and predict 6 more weeks of winter, or he will NOT see his shadow, thus predicting an early spring. Whatever your selection, you will register your guess as part of the online sign-up process, so please be sure to look for the drop-down menu at the end of the online order form. There is no special promotion code that will make you eligible to win – if you choose correctly, your reward should be mailed to you within 4-6 weeks after you pay your first Bounce Energy bill.

Even better, you can enroll in this promotion and still enter any other active Bounce Energy promotion code at the same time, including our ever-popular Refer-A-Friend code. This promotion is available to all new customers in Pennsylvania, so if you’re one of Phil’s neighbors, you can view rates and plans for your address here.

You can also call Customer Service at 1-888-452-6826 to speak with a representative for assistance, and please provide your guess during the signup process to ensure that you are eligible for this promotion.

Our prediction for Groundhog Day: Punxsutawney Phil won’t see his shadow, and spring will be upon us earlier than usual.
