Transferring Your Bounce Energy Service to Your New Texas Home

Here’s what you need to know about how to Bounce with us to your new home:

What?

Bounce Energy is offering you:

  • Special electricity plans tailored specifically for customers moving into a new home
  • A $25 Restaurant.com gift card as a housewarming gift for selecting a moving plan

  • Assistance setting up your electricity, TV, phone service, and internet in your new home
  • Help with mover quotes, home security, and other home services like HVAC warranties

How?

First, log in to your Bounce Energy MyAccount. Here, you’ll find all the info you need to transfer your services with us. You’ll first answer questions like:

  • What date would you like to stop service at your old address?
  • What date would you like to start service at your new address?
  • What is your new address?

Yes – your service can overlap between your new home and your old home. No problem. If you need more than 30 days of overlapping service, just call Bounce Energy Customer Service, and we’ll get you set up with a separate service order.

From there, see a range of plan options for your new address. Because contracts do not transfer between locations, you are not subject to your fixed-rate contract when you move — so don’t worry about early termination fees. You’ll simply pick the best plan for you in your new area and sign up for that. This does mean you’ll have to choose a new plan for your new home – your service can transfer, but your plan cannot.

When?

It typically takes 3 business days (Monday – Friday) to complete a standard order for service. Don’t have 3 days? Don’t worry – we have a special option called Priority Move-In that provides for your transfer in 24-48 hours. There is an additional fee for this service, and that fee (determined by your local utility company) will show up on your first bill after the switch. And remember, you can overlap your service between your new home and old home for 30 days.

  • There is no Bounce Energy charge to transfer your service. Your utility company will charge you a one-time connection fee and the amount will vary from $3.20 – $54 depending on your area.
