At Bounce Energy, we are proud of our beginnings. We were created in 2008 by seven ambitious entrepreneurs who sought to create a successful Texas electricity company from scratch. In honor of those great creators, the Texas Entrepreneurs Series seeks to dive into the spirit of innovation and drive to succeed living inside all entrepreneurs.

While there probably isn’t an exact equation on how to become a successful entrepreneur, I do know that, in order to be prosperous, you do need some business acumen to turn a good idea into a successful company. To learn what it takes to startup and run a business, attending college to earn a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) is a great place to begin.

Getting a BBA can be the first step on your path to becoming a successful entrepreneur!

Thankfully, there are a number of top-notch BBA programs around our sizable state. After researching sites like Bloomberg Business, US News, and Value Colleges, here is list of the top 3 BBA programs in Texas.

1. University of Texas in Austin – McCombs School of Business

The University of Texas in Austin is rated as the best BBA program in the state by many sites. In addition to being ranked at the top within Texas, the McCombs School of Business is also consistently ranked among the top 10 BBA programs in the country.

The McCombs School of Business offers a variety of routes students can take within the school. There is the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Business Honors Program, BBA + Master in Professional Accounting, and the Business Foundations Program. Not only is this a great university, as a public university, it’s one of the most affordable choices for those living in the state of Texas.

2. Southern Methodist University – Cox School of Business

The Cox School of Business is rated as one of the top private business schools in Texas. While traditional business concentrations like accounting, finance, and general management are available, the school does offer an entrepreneurship concentration. While the Cox School of Business is a great business school, it’s a private university, and with that comes a much higher price tag for tuition.
