8/3/11 - Tropical Storm Emily is expected to hit Hispaniola today. It has maximum sustained winds of 50 mph and is moving west-northwest at 14 mph. A tropical storm warning is in effect for Vieques and Culebra, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, southeast Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos islands. 7/28/11 - Yesterday's thunderstorm activity near the Yucatan Channel has transformed into Tropical Storm Don. June 29, 2011, 10:55am - The first tropical storm of the hurricane season has made its way into the Gulf. Tropical Storm Arlene is expected to strengthen later today as it moves towards Mexico.
