Bounce Energy is a Houston-based company with a focus on building a residential and small business customer base in emerging deregulated energy markets. Current Openings:
Staff Accountant
A Staff Accountant is needed to perform various accounting tasks to include general ledger journal entries, account reconciliation, assist with month end close, and other duties as assigned. This role currently reports to the Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage customer utility deposits, to include deposit log maintenance/interest calculation/application to final invoice upon customer termination
- Third Party Collections/Bad Debt analysis and reconciliation
- Create and maintain other analytical reports as they relate to financial projections/cash flow/collections/accounts receivable
- General Ledger account reconciliation
- Reconcile bank accounts/monitor cash balances for accuracy
- Accounts Receivable Management, to include working with Billing Coordinator and AR Clerk with account adjustments/credits/processing final bills for customers, and reporting
- Assist with month-end close, including preparation of financial statements and other analytical reports
- Work with outside parties, including external audit/tax consultants, banking community, regulatory and vendor agencies
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years industry or firm accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Excellent analytical skills, able to research and resolve issues quickly and independently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven expertise in Excel and other Microsoft products
- Licensed CPA
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Experience with Business to Consumer relations
- Experience working with or within a Retail Home Services Provider
- Experience in ecommerce business
The role offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to grow in the role as the company grows. This is a full-time, exempt position.
