A Local Texas Electricity Company's Efforts to Give Back to Its Community and Charities

Last month, Bounce Energy asked its Facebook fans and followers which charity the Texas electricity company should donate to. Fans nominated over 20 charities and the charity that received the most number of votes was given $2500 from Bounce Energy. The charity that received the $2500 donation was the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas. This is among the list of charitable projects Bounce Energy has done within the past year. By using innovative promotions and new ways of marketing, the Houston-based energy company has brought awareness to different causes.

Houston, TX - October 7, 2010 -- As an electricity company, Bounce Energy provides electricity service to its customers in the deregulated areas of Texas. What makes them different from the other Texas electricity companies is that they provide more than just low electricity rates to their customers -- they provide quality service with big rewards. Every month, Bounce Energy has given back to the community by supporting local charities and participating in fundraising events. Bounce Energy has generously made contributions to a number of different charities to help in relief efforts to aid in hunger and natural disasters, raising money for cancer and AIDS research, providing school supplies for impoverished children, and more. Some of the organizations that have benefitted from Bounce Energy's donations have included the Houston Food Bank, American Red Cross, Give a Kid a Backpack, and the National Wildlife Foundation.

Bounce Energy has also participated in events around the Houston area to help raise funds for groups and charities. Bounce Energy has formed teams to participate in the AIDS Walk of Houston and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. It has also sponsored Trees for Houston for the annual Planting on the Parkway event and has raised money and awareness for the Houston Furniture Bank by being a major sponsor for the Shade of Hope community arts affair. Bounce Energy participated with the St. Luke's Day School and the American Cancer Society Starlight Gala by providing an auction package which included two free months of 100% renewable energy and a home energy cost monitor.

To help spread the word about its community and charity involvement, Bounce Energy has used social media as a platform. For many of its charity campaigns, Bounce Energy has asked its fans and followers to "like" their current charity campaign or follow the Bounce Energy Facebook and Twitter accounts. Each "like" and follow contributed to an additional donation to the charity by Bounce Energy.
