Energy Efficiency Tips for College Students

By Eliza, October 13, 2010, Energy Efficiency, Save Money

Speaking as a graduate student who has been living on her own since March, I try every possible way to be as energy efficient as possible in order to help conserve our planet as well as my wallet! Here are a couple of tips to help college students save money by being energy efficient:

  • When picking a location to live for college, opt to get a place closest to or on campus.
  • Replace air filters monthly.
  • Consolidate household appliances when living with a roommate.

With the popularity of going green and being energy efficient, some may think it is just a fad. It should be a way of life that is here to stay because it promotes protecting the environment and could also help us save money.
