So you can get the most enjoyment from your Bounce Energy Rewards Program free companion airfare , I’m organizing my travel destination tips by season. So, plan ahead accordingly.

Fall:

Philadelphia, PA WHEN: soon –early October
Good possibility of catching the world series this year at Citizens Bank Park. Independence Hall. The Liberty Bell. Shopping on South Street, then dinner near Rittenhouse Square. One other thing: real Philly CHEESESTEAKS!!!! Make sure you ask to get ’em “wit” at Geno’s or Pat’s.

New York State WHEN: Mid to late October
Sure, there’s Broadway, but why not head up along the Hudson to Newburg, take in the fall colors, and get bivouaced at a bed and breakfast. Then, take a Hudson Valley wine tour to ten wineries. Sample Chardonnay’s, Cabernet Franc, barrel fermented reds, and hard cider.

Boston, MA WHEN: Late October/early November
The City of Boston’s Freedom Trail takes you on a tour of 16 major historical sites in 3 hours that includes the Boston Massecre Site, the Paul Revere House, USS Constitution, and the first major battlefield of the American revolution, Bunker Hill. Get the official guide app.

Winter:

Stowe, VT WHEN: Late November/December
Fly into Burlington, Vermont then head over to Stowe for some fun in the snow. The east coast typically gets snow first, especially during hurricane years. Vermont’s ski season gets underway in less than a month but there are lots of events planned from now through the end of winter.

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN WHEN: January 27- February 6.
Isn’t Minneapolis/St. Paul just another Siberia, unfit for human habitation in the winter? Yes, but don’t worry: the cold will make a man of you —even if you’re a woman. Stay overnight at the elegantly appointed St. Paul Hotel. The ice sculptures across the street in Rice Park will dazzle your inner-child. Later, walk five blocks north to the Fitzgerald Theater for the live broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion. Afterwards, dinner at one of over 30 eateries in the immediate area.

Denver, CO WHEN: December through March
God made the Rockies so mankind could sky — and you can’t beat the scenery. You can find some great resort deals and keep up on snow conditions. One fun town is Durango, located in the Animas Valley in the south central part of the state.

Spring:

St. Augustine, FL WHEN: March

Lovely town with Spanish colonial ambiance. Great off-season rates before it gets too hot. Check out the old fortress, the Castillo de San Marcos.

Richmond, VA WHEN: April through May
Ah, nothing like the old South in the spring. The azaleas come out in early April along the James River. Check out the spring blooms in the formal gardens of Colonial Williamsburg and wander the National Battlefield Parks of Petersburg and Richmond.

Memphis, TN WHEN: last week of April through May
Music. Barbecue. There’s no other reason you need to go. The Memphis May Festival includes the Beale St. Music Festival and kicks off April 29 through May 1. The World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest fires up May 12-14. Don’t forget about the other happenings: Salute to Belgium, Sunset Symphony, and the International Educational program.

Summer:

Des Moines, IA WHEN: August 11 to 21

What? Iowa? Yep. Begun in 1854, the Iowa State Fair has inspired three motion pictures and a Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Broadway musical. USA Weekend named the event the #2 choice for summer fun in America. This year celebrates 100 years of Butter Cows . Watch the monster tractor pull. Be amazed at the livestock competitions, the world-class music artitsts, and the food… Oh, yes…the food.
