Bounce Energy Ranks ‘Among the Best’ in J.D. Power Ratings

The results are in for this year’s J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Texas Residential Retail Electric Provider Customer Satisfaction StudySM. Bounce Energy placed 2nd overall with a finishing score of 745 (out of 1000) and showed the most improvement of any company from year to year, jumping 8 spots.

For those that are unaware, J.D. Power and Associates is a global marketing information services firm that was founded in 1968. They are best known for their customer service research for the automotive industry. Their marketing research is primarily composted of very thorough customer surveys which leads to a company’s Power Circle Ratings, with a rating of 5 circles as being “Among the best” and a rating of 2 circles as being “The Rest” (they do not publish any ratings lower than 2 circles). For Texas electric companies, the ratings are broken down into 5 points – billing & payment, price, communications, customer service, and overall satisfaction. Here’s how we placed in each category:

  • Billing & Payment – 5 circles (among the best)
  • Price – 4 circles (better than most)
  • Communications – 5 circles (among the best)
  • Customer Service – 4 circles (better than most)
  • Overall Satisfaction – 5 circles (among the best)
