When They Come Back, Bounce Gives Back: The Boot Campaign is Our May Charity

Boot-Campaign-Facebook-Ad---Newsfeed---with-text (2)The Boot Campaign was started in Texas in 2009 by five women who began the pursuit to build something that would give back to those who afford us all the freedoms of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness: our brave U.S. military veterans and their families.

With Memorial Day approaching on May 25th, Bounce Energy focuses its charity giving this month on an organization whose spotlight lands on our military veterans. With a base $2,500 donation and an additional .50 cents for each new “Follow” or “Like” throughout May on our Twitter and Facebook pages, we couldn’t be happier to work with the Boot Campaign that does so much for our heroes!

Through direct donations and the sale of combat boots, in which at least $50 from every pair of boots sold is applied to program efforts,  the Boot Campaign has donated more than $2 million in the last 6 years to veterans in need. They recognize that the unique challenges faced by our military cannot be solved by a single organization, so they work closely with other leading organizations to help enhance their mission and harness the greatest impact.

Veterans in need reach out to the Boot Campaign and receive grants via their Military Recovery Fund. Some families need help making their mortgage payments in times of transition, while others need the support to attend counseling sessions hosted by their program partners like Courage Beyond, an organization that provides no-cost programs and services to warriors and their loved ones facing post-traumatic stress disorder and other invisible wounds of military service. They also support veterans in other unique ways such as sending families to retreats to reconnect after combat, a time for each family member to heal and bond beyond the stresses of every day life.

“There is no cap to the number of people we help because we try to help everyone who comes in our door,” said Myra, Chief of Staff for the Boot Campaign. “I would say that 99% of those who apply get some kind of help from us whether it’s a referral or financial.”

America, get your boots on! And get social with Bounce Energy to support this great organization through the month of May. To our active military and veterans, we salute you!
