November is Children’s Grief Awareness Month, therefore we are honored to partner with Bo’s Place, a Houston-based bereavement center that offers grief support services to children ages 3 to 18. This outstanding organization offers support to families who have experienced the death of a child or an adult in their immediate family, as well as programs for grieving adults.

Bo’s Place was founded on the belief that grieving children sharing their experiences with each other greatly helps in their healing and overall grief journey. As a result, Bo’s Place provides a safe and calming environment by employing different techniques for kids and parents to express themselves and their grief, whether it be through memory-making, crafts, or group discussion sessions.

The highly intimate and supportive process used at Bo’s Place cultivates resolution and hope while fortifying those in grief so that, even times of sorrow, they have the tools to face their emotion with courage and rediscover joy in the hardest of times. It is in this empowering atmosphere that the “magic” of Bo’s Place truly happens.

Throughout the month of November, you can help Bo’s Place to support those who are bereaved by joining the Bounce Energy social media community. Bounce Energy has pledged to donate $2,500 to Bo’s Place as well as $.50 for each additional Facebook “Like” and Twitter follower gained throughout the month.

This November also marks the 25th Anniversary for Bo’s Place! In order to celebrate this tremendous milestone, a generous friend has offered to match dollar-for-dollar all gifts given to Bo’s Place between July 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015. With a simple click of the mouse, you can not only help a great organization, you’ll have twice the impact on the children and families going through the bereavement process.
