What do I need in my first aid kit for my baby?

  • Basic essentials include an extra set of clothes, old towels, bottle of water, hand sanitizer and child – safe sunscreen.
  • Add in toiletries like package of wipes, plastic grocery store bags to toss dirty diapers and wipes in and bring extra diapers just in case you forget the diaper bag.
  • Medicines and topical treatments to include child safe pain relief and fever reducers such as infants’ acetaminophen and ibuprofen as recommended by your pediatrician. Allergy relief, band aids, hydrogen peroxide to clean cuts and anti-itch creams to help soothe the itch of insect bites.
  • Additional items to consider include re-hydration fluids for children ( as recommended by your doctor), old blankets or quilts ( in case your baby gets or a cold or for an impromptu picnic)
