In addition to providing our customers with competitive rates, convenient plans and various rewards, Bounce Energy strives to be more than just an electricity provider. We are proud to contribute to the community through partnerships with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and many other nonprofit organizations. Every year, we reward likeminded young Texans who have shown that they are more than just students by making an impact in their community.

Announcing the 2018 BE More Scholarship Winner: Kaimen Goudy

2018 Winner: Kaimen Goudy

Kaimen’s actions have had an impact beyond the Lone Star State and across the world to Africa. When she and her family moved there, she discovered many girls were unable to attend school for five to 10 days a month due to the lack of available feminine hygiene products. Moved by her belief in a right to education, Kaimen co-founded a nonprofit organization, Nurturing Universal Femininity, that has supplied more than 10,000 feminine hygiene products to young women in Zambia. The organization is in the process of collecting additional supplies and will widen distribution to include Uganda, Rwanda and Nepal.

Kaimen also works to educate people in her local community about AIDS. She arranged for the director of her local AIDS Outreach Center to speak at her school, made and passed out red ribbons for National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day, arranged an AIDS awareness march and spoke to the student body about the disease.

We are excited to see Kaimen and other Texans influence their communities in such powerful ways. Congratulations to Kaimen, and thank you to everyone who applied for the BE More scholarship! We were inspired by your stories and hope you continue to make a difference in others’ lives.
