Bounce Energy cares about its local community and takes part in many charitable campaigns and events. Bounce Energy extends its motto of providing more than just electricity to not only its customers, but to the community as well.

Boys and Girls Clubs of America
One of the more respected non-profit organizations in the country, Boys & Girls Clubs of America seeks to impact the daily lives of kids and improve their life-long development. Mentors, tutors, and volunteers come together to provide a variety of programs to kids, ranging from arts, sports, and fitness, to education, career counseling, and life skills. Along with 50 cents for every new Facebook "Like" and Twitter follower we gained in January 2014, we also made a donation of $2,500 to help this wonderful organization reach the kids who need it most.
In May 2013, Bounce Energy partnered with The Periwinkle Foundation to raise awareness and funds to battle pediatric cancer. For over 30 years, The Periwinkle Foundation connected young children and adolescents battling all forms of pediatric cancer with the necessary treatment while addressing the intense emotional and psychological worries that people experience when dealing with cancer. The organization accomplishes these goals through a series of camps for kids and families, long-term survivor programs, and a vigorous Arts and Creative Writing Program.
American Lung Association
Founded in 1904, the American Lung Association originally fought tuberculosis - the scariest respiratory disease of that time. As their efforts discovered a range of cures and preventative measures for TB, the ALA began to research how it could address a greater range of issues that affect the lungs. Chief among its efforts include work into combating asthma, improving environmental air quality, and increasing tobacco restrictions. Working to assist the ALA's overall goal of healthy air for healthy lungs, Bounce Energy contributed $2,500 plus 50 cents for each new Facebook "Like" the company received throughout the month of March 2013.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters seeks to create "meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 7 through 14, in communities across the country." Providing children in need of responsible role models and mentors has produced a real and deep impact for each child in the program. Through such efforts, the organization makes the life of the child better, and which them helps the child with mending the relationships within the family. Along with a contribution of $2,500, Bounce Energy donated 50 cents for each new "Like" received on its Facebook page for the month of January 2013.
Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation
Celebrated for its superb clinical services, top research programs, and extensive medical education resources, the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC has definitely improved the global quality of pediatric care. As the only source of funding for the hospital, the Foundation provided the necessary financial support so that the hospital can continue to extend and further develop it excellence in patient care, teaching and research. Bounce Energy wanted to contribute to such a noble mission, so we provided 50 cents for each new "Like" received on our Facebook page and a donation of $2,500 in December 2012.
Movember and Sons
Similar to the efforts of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Movember and Sons increases awareness for prostate and testicular cancer research during the month of November. Instead of wearing pink, Movember participants grow a moustache for the entire month of November and then raise funds to support that moustache growth and accompanying cancer research foundations. Bounce encouraged its friends and fans to participate in Movember by donating $1 for every moustache picture we were sent, and we also gave the organization a donation of $2,500 and 50 cents for every new Facebook "Like" we received in November 2012.
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is observed in October, so Bounce partnered with The Rose in October 2012 to help raise awareness for its early detection and health projects. Based in Houston, TX, The Rose dedicates its time, efforts, and energy to decreasing deaths from breast cancer by providing screening, diagnostics, and access to treatment for all women regardless of their financial situation. Last year, thanks to contributions and fundraising, The Rose provided over 19,000 screening and diagnostic procedures to women with no insurance at little or no charge. Bounce Energy supported The Rose with a donation of $2,500 along with 50 cents for every new "Like" on our Facebook and for every new follower on Twitter.
The Boot Campaign is a grassroots initiative started by five women from Texas known as the Boot Girls. After reading Marcus Luttrell's Lone survivor, the Boot Girls got together and started the campaign in 2009. The Boot Campaign provides an easy and tangible way for Americans to show appreciation for troops (both past and present), cultivate awareness of the challenges they face upon return and raise funds which are granted to military programs meeting these physical and emotional needs. In July 2012 Bounce Energy supported the Boot Campaign in a month long fundraising effort where they donated $5000 plus 50 cents for each new Facebook "like" and Twitter follower Bounce gained during the partnership.
Zoey's Angels was founded by the parents and uncle of Zoey "Isadorable" Dockal, after she lost her life following a long struggle and only a short six months with her family. After what they experienced with Zoey, her family started Zoey's Angels to help bring comfort to families who lose an infant child after a lengthy struggle in the hospital. Zoey's Angels helps bring financial assistance and practical support to allow families to grieve and heal and honor their children as Zoey's family was able to do. Bounce Energy and Zoey's Angels teamed up in May 2012 for a three week fundraising campaign. Bounce donated $.50 for each new Facebook "like" and Twitter follower they gained in that time period.
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association builds healthier lives by educating Americans about cardiovascular diseases and stroke. To coincide with Valentines Day, Bounce Energy launched their American Heart Association charity campaign to raise money for the organization. For every new Facebook "like" and Twitter follower, Bounce Energy donated $1 to AHA.
The Berry Children are three incredible siblings who had lost their parents in a tragic car accident. The accident had left the two older brothers paralyzed and the youngest daughter with broken bones. To help pay for medical expenses, support, and education of the children we donated $2,500 to the Joshua and Robin Berry Children's Trust and added $1 for every new Facebook "like" and Twitter follower.
Red Cross - Relief for Areas Affected by Tornados, Storms, and Fires
The Spring of 2011 not only brought rain to areas across the nation, but we also saw severe weather that damaged southeastern states such as Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Many of these states experienced heavy rains that brought flooding and tornadoes, and droughts that caused fires. Bounce Energy donated $1 to the Red Cross relief for every new Facebook "like".
Red Cross - Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami
In March of 2011, the country of Japan experienced one of the worst natural disasters in history. An 8.9 magnitude earthquake left towns and villages in Japan devastated. In order to help, we donated a bottle of water or a food item for each new Facebook "like" received.
The AIDS Foundation has been a direct provider of resources for HIV/AIDS services and information. To help in funding, Bounce Energy donated $1 for every new Facebook "like" and Twitter follower during February and March of 2011.
Texas Food Bank Network
The Texas Food Bank Network unites food banks affiliated with Feeding America in Texas. The organization covers all areas of Texas and provide many families with food assistance. Bounce Energy donated a food item for every Facebook "like" and Twitter follower during the month of November for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Breast Cancer Charities and Foundations
To mark having 15,000 fans on Facebook, Bounce Energy donated $2,500 to breast cancer charities and foundations during breast cancer awareness month. The money was given to different organizations to help with breast cancer research, treatment, and education.
Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas
Bounce Energy donated $2,500 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas through Bounce Energy's "Nominate Your Charity" promotion on Facebook. Bounce Energy asked its friends on Facebook which charity it should donate to and the winning charity received $2500. Out of more than 20 charities, MAW-NT received the most number of votes.
Give a Kid a Backpack
Give a Kid a Backpack is a nonprofit organization that works towards enriching the lives of impoverished children around the world with backpacks filled with school supplies. Bounce Energy donated $15 for every new customer that signs up for a Blue Sky Fixed 6 of Blue Sky Fixed 12. In addition, a $1 donation is added for every person that "Likes"/becomes a fan of Bounce Energy on Facebook and Twitter.
Power for Schools
Bounce Energy has agreed to offer their best available rates to parents and school supporters and to make a monthly contribution for each supporter who signs up through the Power for Schools and designates a school to receive the contribution.
People Against Leigh's Syndrome
Leigh's Syndrome is a little-known mitochondrial disorder that is progressive, fatal, and currently without a cure. After their son William received this terrible diagnosis in March 2013, the Martin family founded People Against Leigh's Syndrome as a way to cultivate awareness that can then lead to the development of clinical research into defeating this disease. Bounce donated $2,500 to PALS in November 2013, and gave an additional 50 cents for each new Facebook "Like" and Twitter follower received that month.
World Wildlife Fund
Since 1961, the World Wildlife Fund has worked tirelessly to to provide engaging and pioneering methods for preserving our environment for the animals and people that inhabit it. The organization employs a unique combination of scientific know-how and diplomatic skill to connect with like-minded governments and organizations around the globe to accomplish its mission. In April 2013, Bounce Energy donated $2,500 to the WWF, as well as 50 cents for each new Facebook follower we obtained that month.
Dress for Success
Dress for Success has a mission to assist disadvantage women around the globe in their quest to improve their economic independence. Specifically, this international not-for-profit organization delivers professional attire, a support system, and a range of career development tips so that women can thrive in work and life. Started in 1997, Dress for Success has since helped over 650,000 clients worldwide, including over 65,000 women throughout America and around the world each year. During February 2013, Bounce gave a gift of $2,500, along with an additional gift of 50 cents for every new "Like" on its Facebook page.
Toys for Tots
Operated by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, Toys for Tots is a non-profit charity that seeks to provide a joyful holiday season for underprivileged and less-than-fortunate children in the form of toys as Christmas gifts. Started in 1947 by Major William L. Hendricks, this amazing organization has distributed over 16 million toys to more than 7 million children across America. Bounce Energy wanted to see even more kids helped and more toys passed out in December 2012, so we donated $2,500 and 50 cents for every new "Like" earned on our Facebook page.
American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Relief
Hurricane Sandy crippled the Northeast part of United States in October 2012, and experts have declared the hurricane to be one of the most powerful storms to ever hit the Atlantic coast. The damage from flooding throughout parts of New York and New Jersey - including Manhattan, the other 4 boroughs, and Atlantic City - was widespread and continues to affect homeowners and small business owners. Since Bounce Energy is based Houston, TX, we know what it's like to receive the kindness of strangers when natural disasters like hurricanes strike. Thus, we help our friends in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic areas in November 2012 with a donation of $2,500 to the American Red Cross.
Pennsylvania Food Banks
Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank collects and distributes food throughout 11 counties in southwestern Pennsylvania through a 380+ member network. This non-profit organization actively distributes around 27 million pounds of food per year to soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, after school programs, neighborhood food assistance agencies, emergency or disaster-related feeding sites, Meals on Wheels, and more. Philabundance joined the Philadelphia Food Bank in 2005 to become region's largest hunger relief organization. This organization works with direct service programs and a system of 500 member agencies to battle hunger by making contributions to food cupboards, emergency kitchens, shelters, senior centers, and more. Bounce Energy donated $2,500 to each charity in October 2012, along with 1 meal for each new "Like" we earned on our Facebook page.
Ronald McDonald House
Since its inception in 1974, Ronald McDonald House Charities has arranged for comfortable housing for the families of children who have had to travel far from their home in order to be with their critically ill and injured children as they receive treatment. The Houses provide a low cost "home-away-from-home" to families in need so that they can focus on caring for their child, instead of the stress of housing food, or other typical day-to-day distractions. During September 2012, Bounce Energy contributed 50 cents for every new "Like" on Facebook and follower on Twitter earned, as well as an additional $2,500 so that we could help Ronald McDonald House Charities make a difference in the lives of families throughout the Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth areas.
Impact A Hero
Severely wounded and disabled War on Terror veterans have special challenges everyday. They must adjust to their new circumstances and they need our help, both emotionally and financially. It was on this note that Impact A Hero was started in 2004. They are a non-partisan 501(c) (3) organization, created to provide a simple mechanism for individuals and corporations to help provide emotional and financial support for our severely wounded and disabled War on Terror veterans and their families. Bounce Energy ran a six week campaign with Impact A Hero where they donated $2500 plus $.50 for every new Facebook like and Twitter follower they got during the campaign.
Texas Children's Hospital
Texas Children's Hospital, a not-for-profit organization, is committed to creating a community of healthy children through excellence in patient care, education and research. Consistently ranked among the top children's hospitals in the nation, Texas Children's has recognized Centers of Excellence in multiple pediatric sub-specialties including the Cancer and Heart Centers, and operates the largest primary pediatric care network in the country. During the month of August 2012, Bounce and Texas Children's Hospital teamed up to raise funds and awareness for the hospital. Bounce donate d $2500 plus 50 cents for each new Facebook "like" and Twitter follower.
Support Our Troops Texas
To coincide with the Memorial Day and July 4th, Bounce Energy donated to Support Your Troops Texas. The organization provides for the material, physical, and emotional needs of our military men and women at home and abroad.
Houston Food Bank
The Houston Food Bank is the largest source of food for hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties. In December, Bounce Energy asked its customers and friends to become a Fan of Bounce Energy on Facebook. In exchange, Bounce Energy donated a food item to the Houston Food Bank for every new Facebook Fan. At the end of the promotion, Bounce Energy donated 1,780 food items to the Houston Food Bank.
American Red Cross for Haiti Earthquake Victim
Millions of lives were devastated by the earthquake in Haiti, which resulted in urgent need for food, medical care, and supplies. To help relief efforts, Bounce Energy donated $5 to the American Red Cross for new customers who signed up on a fixed rate plan. And for every new Facebook Fan and Twitter follower, donated the cash equivalent of a bottle of water or food item.
National Wildlife Federation for Gulf Oil Spill
The Gulf Oil Spill has put many of its local wildlife in danger. To help with the cleanup and volunteer and restoration efforts, Bounce Energy donated money to the National Wildlife Federation for new customers who signed up with its green energy plans.
Everyone's Green in April
To celebrate Earth Day's 40th anniversary, Bounce Energy upgraded all its new and current customers to green energy for the month of April. Customers were able to power their homes with 100% renewable energy at no extra charge.
Bayou Buddies and Trees for Houston's Red Buds Planting on the Parkway
Bounce Energy was a major sponsor for the annual Planting of the Parkway 2010. Volunteers and employees got their hands dirty to beautify and help improve the environment at the Planting on the Parkway event in January 2010 where volunteers planted over 1,200 plants along Buffalo Bend Nature Park.
Shade of Hope benefiting the Houston Furniture Bank
Bounce Energy sponsored Shade of Hope, a community arts affair intended to raise money, awareness, and support for The Houston Furniture Bank. Money raised for the Furniture Bank went towards turning houses into homes for less-fortunate families.
AIDS Walk of Houston
Bounce Energy's Team Amalia participated in The AIDS Walk of Houston for its 2nd straight year to support the AIDS Foundation of Houston. The AIDS Walk increases community awareness and educates Houstonians about HIV/AIDS.
St. Jude's Texas Stars Shine Gala
Bounce Energy donated an auction package to the St. Jude's Texas Stars Shine Gala to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital which helps children in Houston, Texas, across the nation, and around the world.
American Cancer Society Starlight Gala
Bounce Energy supported the American Cancer Society by donating an energy package that was auctioned off during the ACS's annual Starlight Gala. The American Cancer Society raises money for funding for cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services.
St. Luke's Up, Up, and Away Soiree
Bounce Energy supported St. Luke's Day School by providing an auction package which included two free months of 100% renewable energy and a home energy cost monitor. All proceeds go towards various projects at St. Luke's Day School.
